Uh Huh

Well, I don't care if you're just 13
You look too good to be true
I just know that you're probably clean...
Jailbait you look fine, fine, fine...
It's quite alright, I asked your mama
Wait a minute, officer
Don't put those handcuffs on me
Put them on her, and I'll share her with you
---NRA Board Member Ted Nugent.

Hmmm.

We all know about NRA Board Member Ted Nugent's predilection for underage girls.

It seems another NRA fave has the same problem:

"Sons of Guns" cast member Will Hayden was arrested in Louisiana on suspicion of child molestation over the weekend.
East Baton Rouge Sheriff's deputies arrested Hayden on accusations of child molestation and a "crime against nature." The gunsmith and shop owner, 44, who stars on the Discovery Channel reality series, was booked Saturday, TMZ reports. He was later released after posting $150,000 bond.

It should be noted this isn't Hayden's first brush with the laws of civilization.  He lost his his FFL for the monumental failure of being able to account for his firearm inventory.

Well,,,alrighty, then.  Why is it many of the NRA;s most public figures--and leadership--seem to be scumbags of the highest order?

This seems like a pretty weird bit of drama, especially with this,

"Hayden tells TMZ his ex-girlfriend, and mother to one of his daughters, went to cops more than a week ago and accused him of molesting their child. He claims the woman did it in retaliation for him ending their relationship.
Hayden also says the daughter -- who he is raising with his new wife -- was interviewed by Child Protective Services and returned to his home. He says he is fully cooperating with authorities.
Will's older daughter Stephanie tells us, "There was never any impropriety in our home. He was and is a good father."

So notwithstanding his presumption of innocence, is it normal police procedure to charge some one with suspicion of child abuse, and after he's released on bond, question the victim, and then return her to the home of the suspected abuser? Instead of say, taking her to mom's house?
Or might this be an indication of how credible the case is? False allegations of abuse are unfortunately not uncommon during domestic battles.

    1. It's hard to know what happens in these cases. Naturally you give him the benefit of the doubt. Have you been able to explain away the loss of his FFL license too?

Again Mike, isn't it a little strange that the supposed victim of the claimed abuse is taken back to the home of the suspected abuser? The story is still developing and I've seen a couple of articles saying that it was a recently fired employee who made the accusation.
In regards to his loss of his FFL there is nothing to explain, he messed up by not accounting for firearms he was responsible for. He surrendered his FFL. The system worked.

    3. Isn't it strange how you can't even speak against the hate and racism your side (NRA) spews from the mouth of guys like Nugent.

    4. The system worked in this case, right. But the implication is that this kind of abuse is widespread and the scant resources of the ATF are not sufficient to address the problem. It's naive of you to say, look, the system worked.

  3. Here is a recent development in this case,

"The Discovery Channel has canceled its hit “Sons of Guns” series after reality star Will Hayden was arrested again Wednesday for allegedly raping his 12-year-old daughter.
Arrest documents said Mr. Hayden’s daughter accused her father of taking her virginity and orally and vaginally raping her almost daily since she was 11 years old, TMZ reported. She said she never reported it because he threatened her physically."

If convicted, I'll be quite glad to hear of any special attention he gets in prison.

I don't know if this is one of those times Mike. I just try to stay honest. If the facts go the other way, I tend to come out what I find one way or another.
