  1. Typical teenager, full of life, sweet, and a joy to be around--but she vandalizes cars.

By the way, where was the NRA mentioned? When you post falsehoods, Mikeb, you discredit your already absurd cause.

    1. Since when does vandalizing a car call for murder?
You gun loons. Throw popcorn; get murdered, play loud music, get murdered, walking home at night, get murdered.
This is why SUG is nuts. If YOU feel your life is in danger..................
Since gun loons are so afraid they have to have their guns on them every second, even to take a shit, no wonder they think the above reasons are good enough to kill someone.

Actually Anon, I'm not seeing how he'll be able to claim SYG because I've read at least one article where the police said he has shot towards the car to scare them off. Plus, even if you try to demand a SYG hearing, you still have to convince a judge that you should get it.

    3. I agree this one could never be an SYG case. But that doesn't mean that the SYG and castle doctrine mentality hasn't played its part.

    4. Anonymous, I figured you'd be stupid and accuse me of defending this man.

    5. I figured you would be stupid enough to suggest since she vandalized a car, it was OK for him to shoot to kill. "but she vandalizes cars." Since your side defends the shooting of people who threw popcorn, or played loud music, or knocked on a door for help, and the other unecessary killings your side defends.

    6. Anonymous, you always insist on reading things into what I and others say that we didn't intend and didn't state. How about you read what we actually write, instead of deciding that in advance?

    7. It's YOUR "sides" thinking and statements. You live by this "side" crap which I told you was shit. But you live by it, you die by it. It's YOUR "side" that makes these scum criminal statements, so live with it.

    8. And here Anonymous once again decompensates into cursing and spewing.

    9. Greg, your only remark was about the teenagers and how bad there were. What are we to take from that, that you really feel the shooter was wrong?

      Delete
    10. Yes, he should have taken down their license plate numbers and vehicle description. But I do get tired of seeing vile teenagers referred to as little angels when their behavior doesn't merit that label.

    11. Ahhhh. Finally you said it. Why is it so hard for you to condemn the actions of a fellow gun owner. You drag your feet, at best, often you come up with all kinds of wild defenses. One of your favorites is that it takes a lengthy investigation prior to assigning guilt. But you know that's bullshit. Those three Detroit hoodlums that got shot at by the woman, they were arrested and locked up as soon as the cops got their hands on them. The same treatment should take place every time a kid gets hurt with a gun. The responsible adult should be held accountable immediately. But you don't like that. You like it when irresponsible gun owners get away with their irresponsibility. That's why we consider you part of the problem.

    12. Mikeb, I don't push a rush to judgement. And I also don't see why I have to sing in your chorus. You're loud enough as it is.

  3. Greg's comment caused me to look at your tag for this piece (usually don't unless someone brings em up).

The article I read about this last night only had a picture of the poor little girl, so I didn't know what color the shooter was (not that I give two shits either way). Did watch the video to see the picture of the shooter after seeing your tag.

So? He's black. What does that matter?

Oh, I see! It matters to you! Because you can tag the post "Black NRA Members" and thus use him to smear all of the black members of the NRA.

    Wow, this seems familiar...

Oh yeah! I've heard this from the few backwoods shitheads I've encountered who tried to smear all blacks based on specific examples of inner city criminals.

Congratulations! Your hood is in the mail!

    1. Actually it was nothing more than a minor tongue-in-cheek quip at our previous discussions about how welcome blacks are in the NRA and how many black members there really are - according to some. Greg got it even though he pretended not to. I suppose you missed those several discussions.

      Delete
    2. Ah, the old, I wasn't smearing the race, I was being funny defense. Nice.

Funny how easily folks on your side get to use that.

As for your comments about whether blacks are welcome or not, I know plenty about your insulting comments about Mr. Noir being a token, etc. All you do is proclaim your ignorance. Meanwhile, every gun show I go to--here in the South--I see all economic levels of blacks and all economic levels of whites mingling together, buying, selling, chatting, etc. Biggest, burliest, bearded, white redneck I know from BFE always sets up next to a black guy he's friends with and they chat and refer customers back and forth.

I've been to many shows, some more than a hundred miles away from here, and it's the same at all of them. Blacks, latinos, asians, all getting along fine. And you know what, there's getting to be more non-white faces all the time.

    3. "Ah, the old, I wasn't smearing the race, I was being funny defense. Nice."

How the hell did you get that? I was "smearing" the NRA and the rest of you gun owners.

Your description of the harmony between redneck southerners and their darker brothers is really sweet, but I'm afraid it's total bullshit. You made that shit up.

      Delete
    4. Your tag was "black NRA members"--not NRA members. You were specifically smearing blacks with guns with that tag that is still up.

As for my description of gun shows, it's accurate, and you show your ignorance by falsely accusing me of making it up. Anybody that cares to visit a show can easily check for themselves and see that there are members of whatever minority community is in the area attending the shows.

Do we have racists in the area? Sure. But they're the minority in the community at large and in the gun community (which is most of the community at large around here). They're also mostly older and dying out (good riddance).

      Delete
    5. Have it your way, Simon. You know better than I do what I meant by that tag and racism is practically all died out in "Appalachia."

      Delete
    6. Practically dead might be overstating it, but dying out and already in the minority in the part I have experience in--yep.

And I'm not claiming to have better knowledge of your motivations. I'm just pointing to the plain meaning of the words you've used. Same as Wolf Blitzer is pointing to the words Nugent used rather than trying to figure out what he meant deep down inside.

      Delete
    7. Mikeb, you're using Jadegold's trick of smearing. You have no evidence that this man is a member of the NRA, but you can't resist a false label.

      Delete
    8. Simon, thanks for coming to the defense of the poor misunderstood Ted Nugent. That gives us a better understanding of where you're coming from. I used to post a good bit about Teddy. I'll think of you next time he comes up.

      Delete
    9. Seriously? Is your reading comprehension that bad, or do you just insist on twisting my words.

Good Lord, this is getting tedious, but here, I'll spell it out for you. I was comparing myself and Wolf and You and Teddy. Ted used the term mongrel and wolf was right to go after him for it. I'm sure Ted would defend himself by coming up with something he meant OTHER than mixed race just like you defend yourself by claiming you're not smearing the black members of the NRA.

In both cases, (and to be painfully, tediously, crystal clear: I mean YOU and TED NUGENT) I find the excuses supremely unsatisfying.

You should both apologize, and if either of you don't really intend to be racist, then you should choose your words more fucking carefully; otherwise, I'll assume you're both a couple of racists and group you with Robert Byrd.

      Delete
    10. Mikeb, when will you learn that referring to someone doesn't have to imply a defense of that person? Simon didn't defend Nugent. Simon mentioned him as an example.

      Delete
    11. Simon, My hat's off to you, man. That's one of the most convoluted twisting jobs we've ever seen around here, and with Greg on the job, that's saying something.

Actually, you're first reference to Ted Nugent wasn't clear at all, I just reread it. But now it is, you've somehow aligned Ted with me and not you. That's priceless.

      Delete
    12. Mikeb, you're flat wrong here. But the truth is not in you, so you're unlikely to admit it.

    13. Hilariously bad reading comprehension, or just intentional pigheadedness...YAWN...you're beginning to bore me. Am I going to have to go elsewhere for entertaining debate?

      Delete
    14. Yeah, go find another gun control blog that'll publish your nonsense and put up with your bullshit. I've been told I'm unique in that regard. But by all means if you're bored, move along.

      Delete
    15. You're unique among the gun control blogs in that regard, but I have other issue I care about and that I can devote more time to if'n I get tired of this.

  4. Typical asshole gunzloon, full of shit, and a major league pain-in -the-ass to be around, even before he shoots a teenager over a vandalized car. But, property is more important than a human life to a piece of shit like that.

Hey, Pooressur Chump, what's the name of that school you carry yore gunz too? Still too cowardly to get yourself arrested for breaking a "bad law"?

    ReplyDelete
  5. "Still too cowardly to get yourself arrested for breaking a "bad law"?"

Demo, I don't think many people, myself included think that this act is a justifiable use of force. But let me see if I understand you right, if we don't obey the law against murder, we are a typical "gunzloon". If we do obey the law against murder, we are cowards for obeying it?

    1. I understood democommie's comment to be about Greg's amazing take on it concerning teen delinquency. Even Simon, who's fast becoming our most fanatical fanatic said the guy should get the rope. Not Greg, though. His only remark was about how bad the kids were.

      Delete
    2. So, Mikeb? I'm not obliged to go after every person who does something I disagree with. But I saw this story elsewhere, and the delinquency wasn't being sufficiently discussed there.

      Delete
    3. That's because the delinquency is not the fucking point, Greg. Your idiot fellow-Arkansas gun owner and what he did is.

  6. Personally, I am not convinced that egging a car is tantamount to vandalism. Merriam-Webster defines vandalism as willful or malicious destruction or defacement of property. Eggs may damage paint if left to rot in the sun. No big deal if hosed off in the night.

Typical teenager, full of life, sweet, and a joy to be around--but she vandalizes cars.

    Your point?

The greater point is that someone shot and killed her as well as threatened her friends. What exactly is your point? Who the hell really cares if he is or is not a card-carrying member of the NRA? He is stupid enough to believe that his best protection is a bullet to the chest.

    From the Chicago Times

Willie Noble, 48, has been charged with first degree murder
for the death of Adrian Broadway over the weekend in Little
Rock. He was also charged with five counts of aggravated assault
and committing a terrorist act, and was being held in the
Pulaski County jail on a $1 million bond.

Any part of that you disagree with?

    1. Good point, FJ, it wasn't even vandalism.

      Delete
    2. Throwing eggs on a car would count as defacement. It was vandalism.

Doesn't make what the guy did right.

Just means that the kids were mischievous as kids are wont to be. They should have gotten their asses whipped by their parents and been made to clean the car (which the first article I saw said was their plan--apparently it was a stupid prank back and forth in which they were retaliating for the shooter's son egging one of them and purportedly helping clean it up).

      Delete
    3. Do you mean that literally, "asses whipped?" Older teens should be whipped? Is that how they do it in your home?

As for the definition of vandalism, Flying Junior provided one, you just gave us an opinion. What's your problem anyway? Are you just arguing for argument's sake?

      Delete
    4. First, with regard to Junior providing a definition: That was what I was WORKING FROM. Hence my statement about throwing eggs being defacement--I was working from his given definition of vandalism as destruction or defacement.

As for the age to continue with corporeal punishment, I can't remember their ages and wasn't thinking about that aspect. A whipping is synonymous with punishment, and if they're too old to spank, then other methods are necessary. The main point was that their parents should have provided proper attitude adjustments and made them clean it up, and that been the end of it. Instead, we get shithead shooting at them.

      Delete
    5. Eggs do not deface a car. Are you so contentious that you need to belabor every little point. If vandalism requires defacement, eggs don't do it, man. Keying a car does. A Molotov cocktail through the back window does. Eggs, don't, they wash right the fuck off.

      Delete
    6. From Merriam Webster: Deface: to ruin the surface of (something) especially with writing or pictures; to mar the appearance of; injure by effacing significant details.

Eggs mar the appearance and require washing to restore it. Keying damages the paint job and requires repainting on some level.

My only point was that yes, this is vandalism, but it would be best handled by responsible parents making the kids make it right.

Why are you being so contentious about this? Do you somehow think it makes this guy less wrong or dishonors this poor little girl if you admit that these kids aren't perfect angels, but were instead mischievous kids being kids and who didn't deserve to die for it?
