Michigan 15-year-old Charged with Manslaughter after Accidental Shooting of 11-Year-old

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office on Monday charged a 15-year-old boy for shooting and killing the 11-year-old son of his mother's boyfriend.

It's believed the Nov. 24 shooting was an accident.

Because he is a minor and being charged in the juvenile court, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office did not identify the shooter by name.

He's charged with manslaughter, careless discharge of a firearm and committing a felony with a firearm. The prosecutor indicates the shooter aimed the weapon at the victim "without malice."

The only thing missing is the arrest and charging of the gun's owner.  Minor children cannot legally own guns.  Therefore some adult should also be held responsible.
