Missouri 4-Year-old Dead - It was Simple Negligence - No Charges

As we reported at the time of the incident, no charges were filed. Now it's official.

It seems to me the difference between simple negligence and criminal negligence is a completely subjective one. What it amounts to is the prosecutor only takes some of the cases like this serioulsy, others get a pass.

  1. Some people would say the same about all decisions of simple vs. criminal negligence--not just those involving guns. It's preferable for there to be an objective standard that the prosecutors make clear, but most of them, as government workers, are lazy.
